News from NFBRA

We are hosting a benefit in honor of Scott P. Butler on June 14, 2008 from 12:00 noon until
6:00 pm at the Knights of Columbus, Madonna Council, 755 Erie Avenue, North Tonawanda,
NY 14120.
Scott, a life-long resident of the Town of Tonawanda, was diagnosed with lung cancer in July of
2007. He underwent several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation and he responded well to
treatment. In December of 2007, the cancer then progressed to the brain which required
additional radiation therapy. In March of 2008, his follow up CT scan revealed that his cancer
had spread to his liver. He is scheduled to undergo chemotherapy treatments to the liver
starting in April.
Scott is the single parent of three children, the youngest being just nine years old. He was
released from his job in September of 2007 and his health insurance coverage was terminated
at that time. Disability insurance payments expired at the end of January, 2008. He currently
has no income. Scott struggles daily with the uncertainty of his health along with how to provide
for his family now and in the future.
This benefit is being held to help Scott battle the medical
expenses that have accrued over the last year in addition
to his everyday living expenses.
Any donations to help Scott would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
The Family and Friends of Scott P. Butler
